Media Blasters released the DVD contents and the cover art for
SHADOW: DEAD RIOT, the
women's prison/zombie/martial arts opus directed by Derek Wan and scripted by Fangoria's Michael Gingold, coming on the company's Shriek Show label. This R-rated special edition streets
March 28 and presents the movie in anamorphic 1.77:1 widescreen with 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby Digital audio. Extra features include a behind-the-scenes featurette, an image gallery, the SHADOW trailer and other Shriek Show trailers; retail price is $19.98. Tony (CANDYMAN) Todd stars as the titular executed occultist whose spirit haunts the prison where he was executed 20 years ago; Carla Greene plays a new inmate who senses his presence and battles the resuscitated Shadow and his undead army.
