Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of A Good Woman for
20th February 2006 priced at £19.99. Set in the 1930s on the beautiful Amalfi coastline, A Good Woman is an elegant, witty, romantic comedy based on Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere's Fan.
A young couple’s marriage is put in jeopardy by high-society gossip. Robert Windermere (Mark Umbers) is accused with providing a secret allowance for Mrs Erlynne (Academy Award® Winner, Helen Hunt from As Good As It Gets), a vampish older woman of ill repute. Meanwhile Windermere’s wife, Meg (Golden Globe® nominee, Scarlett Johansson who has recently appeared in the critically acclaimed Matchpoint), is attracting the attentions of Lord Darlington (Stephen Campbell Moore), a notorious playboy.
