Ah, the good old days when cheesy American action movies were brainless and fun, as opposed to just brainless. In a classic pairing of B-action movie icons, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are former Vietnam vets brought back to life in the future by the government and generically enhanced to battle America's enemies. This isn't one of Van Damme's better "martial arts" movies, but the combo of kicks, bullets and vehicular destruction makes for a modestly entertaining experience, something director Roland Emmerich couldn't muster with an additional $100 million for Godzilla. Ouch.
