I have it from reliable sources that the new edition will include featurette coverage of the recent Lebowski Fest West celebration here in L.A. (where I'm told a good time was had by all... including actor Jeff Bridges). By the way, you Bits-ers in the Louisville, KY area will be glad to know that the 4th Annual Lebowski Fest will be held there later this month (July 22nd-24th). Universal Studios Home Entertainment has just this very minute announced The Big Lebowski: Collector's Edition for release on October 18th. Since it was put up only a short time ago, scant info is available for now. What we can tell you is that it will arrive in separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen editions and retail is $19.98. A Gift Set will be available as well for $49.98. Stay tuned for more later in the day.
Da ich noch garkeine DVD von dem Streifen besitze werde ich mir die Neuauflage gönnen, daß "Gift-Set" wird es aber wohl nicht werden.

Einer der geilsten Filme überhaupt, vor allen Dingen in der Originalfassung, da gibt`s u.a. ein paar durchgeknallte Deutsche welche mit deutschem Akzent englisch sprechen, einfach nur zum totlachen. "Tomorrow we come back Lebowski, than we will cut off your Johnson :!:" 🤣

Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski is the ultimate LA slacker, until one day his house is broken into and his rug is peed on by two angry gangsters who have mistaken him for Jeffrey Lebowski, the LA millionaire, whose wife owes some bad people some big money. The Dude becomes entangled in the plot when he goes to visit the real Lebowski in order to get some retribution for his soiled rug, and is recruited to be the liason between Lebowski and the captors of his now "kidnapped" wife.

Auch gut: "Nobody fucks with Jesus :!:" (John Turturro als "Jesus Quintana" - allein seine schauspielerische Glanzleistung rechtfertigt den Kauf.) 😁
In diesem Meisterwerk gibt es auch viele nette Kleinigkeiten zu entdecken, z.B. eine LP mit dem Titel "Autobahn" von Kraftwerk, u.v.m..
