Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of War of the Worlds: The Complete First Season for 1st November 2005 priced at $39.99 SRP. In the 1950s, an invasion of the Earth is thwarted when the aliens fall foul of the common cold virus. But rather than die, the invaders simply go into hibernation and thirty years later they are revived and a second invasion attempt begins. The Martians can now possess human bodies and are opposed by a small band of resistance fighters.
This action-packed, science-fiction television series debuts on DVD as a collectible 6-disc set which includes all 23 full-length episodes presented in Full Frame with English Stereo sound.
